CADConvert pro ProMed V1.0 is a direct converter which translates native drawing files between Pro/ENGINEER and MEDUSA. MEDUSA sheets can therefore be converted to drawings and vice versa without translating the files into a neutral format (e.g. DXF).

This direct converter offers the advantage that the output and target systems are fixed. System-specific components such as the structures of clumps, layers, groups and views, etc., are thus retained and are translated into the corresponding structures of the target system.

Implementation

  • Interactively integrated into Pro/ENGINEER

  • Off-line batch capability

Graphical elements

  • Drawing geometry, text elements, etc.

  • Large range of mapping options, configurable via mapping tables

Structures

  • Translation of MEDUSA clumps into Pro/ENGINEER layer structures

  • Generation of Pro/ENGINEER layers from MEDUSA layers

  • Translation of MEDUSA prims and point functions into

  • Pro/ENGINEER symbol definitions and symbol cases

  • Translation of Pro/ENGINEER views into MEDUSA clumps

  • Conversion of Pro/ENGINEER drawings into several sheets

  • Translation of Pro/ENGINEER symbols into MEDUSA clumps
